TITAN: THE NON SURGICAL FACELIFT

Titan is used for tightening loose skin. This is an effective treatment for loose skin around the abdomen area, under the chin, facial wrinkles and sagging cheeks.

How does the Titan work?

Titan utilises a safe, infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. This heating can cause immediate collagen contraction. During the procedure, the skin’s surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan handpiece.

After the procedure, new collagen growth results in further tightening and the development of a more youthful, complexion with less lines, folds or looseness of the skin.

Titan employs light energy because it provides a more uniform distribution of energy for heating of the deeper dermis than other energy sources, such as RF (radio frequency).

Who can be treated?

Since the Titan procedure is heating tissue under the skin’s surface, patients of any skin type can be treated. Men and women of all ages have been successfully treated. Your physician can advise you if the Titan is right for you.

How many treatments will I need?

A single treatment has produced very good result for many patients. Your physician will advise you on the number and frequency of treatments recommended for optimal results.

What happens after the treatment?

Immediately following the treatment, you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. Both should dissipate within a few hours.

When will I see results?

Some patients see results immediately. However, for most patients, the results are gradual over a three to six month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.

What do treatments feel like?

With each Titan pulse, you will feel brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Many patients are comfortable without anything, your physician will advise you.

Has the Titan been tested and approved?

The Titan has been carefully studied in clinics around the world. It is cleared for treatment of wrinkles in Europe and for general dermatological use in Canada. In the US, it is cleared for topical heating to increase local tissue temperatures and calculation. An additional 510(k) clearance is pending in the US for the treatment of wrinkles, under chin and abdomen.
